Every child. Every service. Every effort.
The Children’s Advocacy Center, Serving Bastrop, Lee and Fayette Counties exists to provide a coordinated, family-focused approach to the crisis of child abuse in our community. We strive to reduce trauma, seek justice, foster healing and cultivate empowerment for children and families.
Providing hope and healing in the heart of our community for 30 years.
The Children’s Advocacy Center, Serving Bastrop, Lee and Fayette Counties is nationally accredited and one of more than 70 Children’s Advocacy Centers across Texas, and is a registered nonprofit charitable organization funded by grants and donations. More than half of our funding comes from the federal, state and local government grants, with the remainder from local fundraising efforts; including public events, foundation and corporate grants, and the generosity of individual donors and groups. We’re proud to have been among the first Children’s Advocacy Centers in the State of Texas, and have been a part of the community since 1992. Our services are bilingual and free of charge.
As our community grows, the Children’s Advocacy Center is working hard to increase the quantity and accessibility of our services, while retaining the high-level of quality and individualized care our community deserves. We’ve come a long way from the little yellow house on Chestnut Street in Historic Bastrop, but as our footprint grows to meet the needs of our clients in the communities where they live, the spirit of the CAC remains rooted in being the place where hope and healing begins.
In our 30th year, and beyond, we’re committed to partnering with our communities right in our communities to fight child abuse, to provide advocacy for children and families at risk, and to provide therapeutic healing from child abuse, child sexual abuse, trauma, and neglect - to break the cycle of pain, and to facilitate healing in the families we serve.
The Children’s Advocacy Center’s Impact
We are here to help improve the lives of children.
There has never been a better time to lend your support to the Children’s Advocacy Center.
Becoming a Hero for Hope for the Children’s Advocacy Center can have a lasting impact on the lives of the children and families we serve. By sustainably supporting the CAC and the work we do in our community, you can help break the cycle of abuse and trauma, and give these children a brighter future, while helping our organization expand our presence in the individual counties we serve, and grow the services we provide.
Thank you to our Heroes for Hope. Together, we’re building a future free from child abuse.
The Children’s Advocacy Center, Serving Bastrop, Lee and Fayette Counties is a safe, child-friendly organization where child abuse victims can receive comprehensive services, including forensic interviews, medical exams, therapeutic counseling, and victim advocacy services. The goal of our CAC is to minimize the trauma experienced by the victims we serve by providing them with a supportive environment and ensuring that all their needs are met in a coordinated and efficient manner.
