Who We Are

The Children's Advocacy Center is a non-profit corporation that provides abused children with a warm and non-threatening environment in which they can feel safe to talk about their abuse. The Advocacy Center serves:
  • Child victims of physical and sexual abuse
  • Child witnesses of violent crime
  • Non-offending family members
  • At-risk children and families
  • Child Protection Team (CPT) (Learn More)
  • The community at-large
In addition to the Advocacy Center's team of skilled professionals, the Child Protection Team (CPT) is comprised of:
  • Law Enforcement Investigators and Detectives
  • Child Protective Services
  • District Attorney's office
  • Specialized Therapists
  • Medical Professionals
  • Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) (Learn More)
The Advocacy Center serves as the "hub" for the Child Protection Team, providing the leadership, the facility, the funding, and the coordination to implement the multi-disciplinary team approach. Forensic interviewing and a variety of counseling services are offered by the Advocacy Center's highly-trained staff. All services are free-of-charge; funding is provided through grants, city and county governments, special event fundraising, and individual and corporate contributions.
